Selective Service Registration
Selective Service System registration is required by law. By registering, a young man remains eligible for jobs, state-based student aid and employment in most states, Federally-funded job training, and U.S. citizenship for immigrant men.
Under Ohio law (ORC 3345.32), male College Credit Plus (CCP) students who turn 18 must register with the U.S. Selective Service and submit their registration number to their college within 30 days of their 18th birthday. Failing to do so means losing CCP funding, making the student personally responsible for all tuition, books, and fees. [1]
