This month, CHS Senior Karagin Miller will be traveling to Denver, Colorado and presenting at the "National Conference on Science Education", congratulations Karagin on all of your hard work!
Students will have 12 days, February 26th- March 11th to read and earn prizes! All students can read and earn prizes, regardless of whether or not money is donated. The primary goal is to instill the love of reading in our students! Please sign up online to participate in the Read-A-Thon. Flyers were sent home with students on 2/21/24 with instructions to sign up online!

The Crestview Theatre Program presents Little Shop of Horrors on Friday, March 15th and Saturday, March 16th at 7:00 PM and Sunday, March 17th at 2:00 PM.
Little Shop of Horrors is a horror comedyrock musical with music by Alan Menken and lyrics and book by Howard Ashman. The story follows a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. The musical is loosely based on the low-budget 1960 comedy film The Little Shop of Horrors. The music, composed by Menken in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop, and early Motown, includes several well-known tunes, including the title song, “Little Shop of Horrors,” "Skid Row (Downtown)," "Somewhere That's Green," and "Suddenly, Seymour."
Ticket prices are $12.00 for adults and $10.00 for students and senior citizens.
Tickets will be available at the door for all performances. Online ticket sales begin on Thursday, February 8th at 2:00 PM and end at 11:59 PM on Wednesday, March 13th.

The Crestview Local School District was recently awarded two local grants.
CLSD received the Bonnie Hoppel School Health Project grant in the amount of $1,000 for the funding of 10, 5th grade girls to participate in the evidence- based program ROX (Ruling Our Experiences). Akron Children's Hospital chose to fund our project and Francine McBride of Akron Children's Hospital presented the grant to Kayla Sidell.
Crestview Local PTO received the Columbiana County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board Mini-Grant in the amount of $1,000 for the funding of 10, 6th grade girls to participate in the evidence- based program ROX (Ruling Our Experiences). Jennifer Whitman presented the grant to Kayla Sidell.
Akron Children's School Health Services will be hosting an immunization clinic during school hours on 5/8/24 for 6-12th grade students. The immunizations being offered are Meningococcal, TDAP, HPV, and Meningitis B.
Meningococcal and TDAP immunizations are required for students entering 7th grade and an additional dose of the Meningococcal is required for students entering 12th grade. Additionally, we will be offering Gardasil (HPV) and Meningitis B (only 16 years old and older) as optional recommended immunizations. Attached is a parent/guardian letter, consent form, and list of required immunizations from ODH.
For your student to participate, parent/guardian completed consent form AND parent/guardian completed letter must be returned to school by 4/29/24. Please reach out with any questions!
